If you ever used a chum bag, you need to know about pula bags!
Straight out of the islands, pula bags are often used for ahi fishing. What makes them different than chum bags is that it spreads out your bait further and in more directions than what a typical chum bag would.
We recommend cutting or chopping up your bait into small pieces. Once your pula bag is loaded and folded correctly, use a 1 lb. to 3 lb. lead weight to gently lower the bag down. Once you hit bottom, set your drag on your reel and yank up to open up the pula bag.
Each pula bag is roughly 22", rigged with a corkscrew and barrel swivel on #72 gangen.
Video below shows you how to properly set up a pula bag.
